Brian Stewart
Audit Director
Brian is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’
experience of advising a wide range of businesses, not-
for-profits and government. Previous roles involved
delivering complex due diligence, forensic and assurance
assignments throughout the UK, Ireland and beyond.
Brian has embraced the challenge of leading our growing
audit team, setting the foundations to make us best in
class.
Brian enjoys spending his spare time with his family,
surfing, skiing and walking, as well as watching
motorsport and football.
Ross Boyd
Managing Director
Ross has over 25 years’ experience in advising business
owners and government. He has founded several
businesses and led their successful growth. Ross has
worked globally but now centres his efforts from RBCA’s
Belfast base servicing the UK and Irish markets. He is
passionate about supporting clients and staff to develop
and reach their full potential. Where you need robust
analysis and constructive opinion-based advice Ross will
be delighted to help. Ross spends most of free time
afloat or helping others to enjoy water sports more,
around beautiful Northern Ireland.
Jane Gill
Director
Jane has over 20 years’ experience advising local
business owners. Jane is passionate about helping
businesses grow and improving their profitability. Jane
has worked in senior management roles with several
leading firms in Northern Ireland and brings a wealth
accounting knowledge and experience to the company.
Jane loves making the most of her free time with her two
children, enjoying walks together in the countryside. Jane
is a food enthusiast and wine connoisseur who loves the
finer things in life! Her other passion is horses and
dressage. With family commitments dressage has taken
a bit of a back seat but she still enjoys looking after her
retired mare.
Alison Tosh
Tax Consultant
Alison has recently become a fully qualified Chartered Accountant and has now begun the exciting journey of becoming a Chartered Tax Advisor. She has prior audit and accounts experience but now specialises in advising a wide range of clients on tax issues. Where you need tax advice or guidance on tax reporting obligations Alison will be glad to help. Outside of work hours, you will most likely find Alison in some spot of Northern Ireland with her dog!
Claire Deane
Senior Manager
Claire is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience advising local businesses. Claire is passionate about helping clients reach their goals in terms of profitability and growth.
Had Claire not sought out a career as an accountant she may have pursued a career as a party planner/festive decorator. With every holiday season Claire attempts to transform her home into a festive wonderland, from enchanting Christmas Lights to spooky Halloween décor.
Claire’s free time is divided between exploring the great outdoors and embarking on exciting hiking and caravanning trips with her two adventurous boys, three if you count her husband. When a moment of solitude can be found Claire immerses herself in a good book, although since the arrival of her children a lot more child rather than adult fiction is enjoyed these days.
Sarah Airey
Practice Manager
Sarah joined the team in September 2016 as an
apprentice. Since then she qualified as both an
Accounting Technician and a Taxation Technician.
Coming from a strong background in customer service
and administration, Sarah loves her role as Practice
Manager and is now very much a part of the furniture.
Outside of the office, Sarah can be found chasing two
young children to bed after which she likes to relax with a
glass of wine and some good tunes. Big into family, her
weekends are spent catching up with loved ones and
being outside as much as our weather allows.
Thomas Allen
Senior Accountant
Thomas is an honours graduate who has been training at RBCA since September 2020. He recently passed his final admittance exams to Chartered Accountants Ireland. During Thomas’s time at RBCA, he has gained a wide range of experience in both assisting and leading audits, preparing statutory/advisory accounts and providing compliance services to clients in the private and not-for-profit sectors. He has also prepared accounts and provided systems advice for a wide range of private sector clients, not-for-profits and political parties. Thomas spends most of free time in the fresh air playing sport or exploring the great outdoors.
Shannon King
Senior Accountant
Shannon graduated from Ulster University with a first-class honours degree in Accounting with Taxation and has recently passed her final admittance exams to Chartered Accountants Ireland. During Shannon’s time at RBCA, she has gained a wide range of experience in audit, preparing statutory accounts and providing compliance services to clients in the private sector. Through this experience she has seized every opportunity to provide clients with guidance on how they can better streamline their operations to allow for greater efficiency in their business. In her spare time, Shannon can be found playing hockey at her local club Lisnagarvey HC. When she isn’t on the hockey pitch, she enjoys playing tennis with her family, catching up with friends or playing the piano.
Alex Coffey
Senior Accountant
Alex joined RBCA in September 2021 following his studies at Queen’s University Belfast , gaining a degree in Accountancy and Economics. Alex is now an exam qualified Chartered Accountant after completing his FAE exams in September 2023. During Alex’s time at RBCA, he has gained experience in all areas of accountancy from accounts preparation and tax to audit and systems reviews. Now working in our advisory team, Alex works closely with clients to help optimise their operations and grow their businesses. In his spare time Alex enjoys most sports, especially football and running.
Scott Sterrett
Accounting Technician
Scott Sterrett is an Accounting Technician with a solid educational background from a reputable university and over a year of dedicated service at our organisation. He plays a vital role in ensuring financial stability through meticulous record-keeping, payroll processing, and account reconciliation. Scott's dedication to accuracy, proficiency with accounting software, and strong analytical skills have consistently led to smooth and enhanced financial transparency. Beyond his professional role, he finds solace in the world of literature as an avid reader, which not only enriches his personal life but also enhances his ability to think critically and creatively.
Cathal McVeigh
Graduate Accountant
Cathal is a dedicated professional who embarked on a journey of knowledge and excellence. Armed with a Degree in Accountancy from Queen’s University Belfast, he is poised to make a significant impact in the financial world.
In September, he joined the team at RBCA, where he continues to contribute his expertise and commitment.
Beyond the corporate world, Cathal is a passionate enthusiast of football, golf, and overall fitness. He channels this enthusiasm into fostering a well-rounded lifestyle that promotes physical and mental well-being.
As he continues to grow professionally, Cathal embodies a commitment to personal and career development. He's driven to excel in the dynamic environment of RBCA, where he seeks opportunities to provide robust financial analysis and constructive advice.
Emma Murphy
Graduate Accountant
Emma joined RBCA in September 2023 after graduating from Dublin City University with First Class Honours, ranking 2nd in her class cohort. Following completion of her Bachelor of Arts, Emma decided to pursue Master of Science in Queens University Belfast where she is due to graduate in the coming months. Outside of academia, Emma comes from a strong background in luxury customer service and client relationship building. Since joining the firm Emma has become XERO certified and is engaged in diversifying her skillset by which she has enrolled in her Chartered Accountants Ireland Qualification.
Outside of work life commitments, Emma enjoys cooking for her family and friends and her favourite cuisine to cook is Mediterranean. Emma recently rescued a French Bulldog called George who is now taking up much of her time free time with big, long walks! Emma is also a Chelsea fan but her and George have just about given up on them!
Louisa Aiken
Accounting Technician
Louisa joined RBCA late August 2023 after spending a year in London. She is completing an apprenticeship at RBCA and is studying towards her Account's Technician Ireland qualification at Belfast Met. She has strong customer service skills from her 3 year's experience in hospitality and 1 year experience in retail. Since joining RBCA, she has become a Xero Certified Advisor and gained experience in using other software such as Hubdoc.
Outside of work and study, Louisa likes to spend her time at the gym or with friends. She enjoys going out and trying new activities, meeting new people, and shopping
Paul Gibson
Graduate Accountant
Paul is a dedicated and ambitious individual currently thriving in the challenging realm of accountancy as a graduate accountant at RBCA, a distinguished firm in the field. Holding a degree in both Chemistry and Accountancy, Paul showcases a unique blend of analytical prowess and meticulous attention to detail. Beyond the corporate landscape, Paul finds joy in the beautiful game of football, actively participating in both 5-a-side and 11-a-side matches whenever the opportunity arises. This dual passion for finance and football reflects Paul's diverse skill set, adaptability, and determination to excel in every endeavour.
Ciaran Killen
Graduate Accountant
Ciaran is dedicated worker with over 2 years experience working in a finance role and is passionate about the world of accounting and business. He joined the RBCA team in September 2023 and has committed to bettering his skills in hopes to reach his full potential in a professional accounting career. Ciaran uses his background in maths and his excel skills to get the job done and is not afraid of a challenge when one arises. Outside of the office, Ciaran spends most of his time in the local gym or playing football with his friends.
